Caramel Apple Pretzel Bites
These caramel apple pretzel bites are a fun party treat. Get the awesome fall caramel apple flavor without the mess!
So the moment September hits, I am 100% fall. I mean, it’s still basically 90°F here, but the moment it becomes socially acceptable to cover everything in my house in pumpkins and leaves, I am there. Today’s recipe is no exception. Fall means caramel apples.
I’ll be honest, I don’t have them often and I make them even less so. So this recipe had a bit of growing pains. I started by wanting to make caramel apple slices and it was a fail, fail fail. (Maybe I’ll do a fail round up later, HA)
But I’m very happy that my first recipe didn’t work out, because I wouldn’t have landed on these awesome little bites! I love salty and sweet things, like pairing dark chocolate with sea salt. It just takes an already great treat to the next level, you know?
And I just really love pretzels. Best snack, hands down. So it was really a no brainer.
These little bites are the best of both worlds. They take the awesome caramel apple taste and put it on a small, clean, bite size pretzel.
Yes moms, that means NO sticky fingers, no half eaten caramel apple getting stuck to a chair, no finding bits of caramel on their forehead (how does it even get there?). Though I will say these are not completely mess-free, they seriously cut down on all of the stickiness.
These are great for packing in lunches, in a gift bag or to serve as a fun sweet snack at a fall party. And they’re incredibly easy, so there’s no need to take up too much of our precious time!
