- 4 dessert apples
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp honey, plus more for topping
- 1–2 cups vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup chopped praline pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F.
- Cut parchment into 4 pieces large enough to wrap your apples.
- Core each of the apples and place inside the parchment.
- Arrange in a 9″ x 9″ pan or casserole dish.
- In a microwave safe bowl, heat the butter and honey 30 seconds at a time and stir until fully combined.
- With the apples wrapped in parchment, open slightly, place a cinnamon stick in each core, then spoon the honey butter mixture over each of the apples.
- Tie the parchment closed with kitchen twine.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are soft and easily pierced with a knife.
- Cool for 5 minutes, discard the parchment and remove the cinnamon stick from each apple.
- Place on a serving dish and top with a drizzle of honey, a generous helping of yogurt and the chopped pecans.

Ice cream is another great topping in place of yogurt!
These can be made in the microwave too. Heat uncovered for 5 minutes, or until it pierces easily with a knife.
