Check out this recipe for a creamsicle margarita. It has orange juice, orange liqueur, tequila, and ice cream to make it sweet, creamy, citrusy and delicious!

Being Texan, I am no stranger to margaritas. In fact, you could say I am like the Bubba Gump of margaritas.

Lime margaritas, mango margaritas, strawberry margaritas, pineapple margaritas, watermelon margaritas, jalapeno margaritas (yes, it’s a thing), grapefruit margaritas…

The list goes on (and on and on). So believe me when I say this is one of my favorite ways to enjoy a cocktail. It tastes exactly like a creamsicle – literally!

It’s a wonderful blend of orange and vanilla, with enough tequila to get you feeling breezy.

Like I said, it’s the ultimate creamsicle margarita.

So everyone knows that you put triple sec or Cointreau in a margarita right? What if I told you there’s something even better?

Agavero Orange. It’s an orange liqueur that is tequila based (because mo’ tequila is mo’ better), and I find that it has a smoother citrus flavor.

So this creamsicle margarita can be made two ways – frozen or neat. I’ve made them both ways now and each is excellent, so it’s really up to personal preference. I’ve written in detail how to do it below.
