Today’s post is for those ages 21 and older.
Being Texan, I am no stranger to margaritas. In fact, you could say I am like the Bubba Gump of margaritas.
Lime margaritas, mango margaritas, strawberry margaritas, pineapple margaritas, watermelon margaritas, jalapeno margaritas (yes, it’s a thing), grapefruit margaritas…
The list goes on (and on and on). So believe me when I say this is one of my favorite ways to enjoy a cocktail. It tastes exactly like a creamsicle – literally!
It’s a wonderful blend of orange and vanilla, with enough tequila to get you feelin’ breezy.
Like I said, it’s the ultimate creamsicle margarita.
So everyone knows that you put triple sec or Cointreau in a margarita right? What if I told you there’s something even better?
Agavero Orange. It’s an orange liqueur that is tequila based (because mo’ tequila is mo’ better), and I find that it has a smoother citrus flavor.
Even if you don’t make this recipe, pick up some Agavero Orange and try it in your next batch of margaritas. It takes a splash of tequila (I like Gran Centenario) and lime to a whole new level.
So this creamsicle margarita can be made two ways – frozen or neat. I’ve made them both ways now and each is excellent, so it’s really up to personal preference. I’ve written in detail how to do it below.
But there’s something I want to know. What is your favorite margarita? And is there another margarita recipe you would like to see on the blog?

Notes
This margarita is very sweet, like a creamsicle. If you prefer more of a tart margarita, this may not be the recipe for you.
